Barb Ernster is the principle owner of BE Writing & Communications, LLC. She is a talented writer/journalist and communications consultant who helps companies and organizations present their brand, story and mission. Barb provides writing, editing, project management and consulting on a range of projects involving communications for print and online marketing as well as event planning and organization. She dabbles in social media and has recently completed courses at the University of San Francisco in Integrated Online Marketing and Search Engine Marketing and Usability.
Barb also consults on projects that require research, interviews, and writing for journalism or book writing projects. She is a longtime freelance journalist who loves uncovering a story, and has several book projects and blogging pursuits in mind.
Prior to forming BE Writing & Communications, she managed public relations for local and national companies in a wide range of industries, including outdoor recreation, technology, home products, retail, professional service agencies, performing arts, entertainment, publishing, and manufacturing, first at an advertising/PR agency and then as a consultant. She has fond memories working at the St. Paul Pioneer Press daily newspaper while she pursued a degree in Journalism at the University of St. Thomas. Barb is married with three children and resides in Fridley, Minn.
